*EXCLUSIVE* The Detective Christmas Special 2014: Family Values

An on-set photo taken from the filming of The Detective Christmas Special 2014: Family Values.
Taken on the 28th November 2014

We can now confirm that The Detective will be back for yet another Christmas Special and this years festive episode is called 'Family Values' Written By Lewis Wheelhouse. Pre-production began on the christmas special on the 2nd of November and filming commenced on the 21st November with Lewis Wheelhouse.

Pre-Production was delayed on the Christmas special as it was originally set to begin in October with filming set later within that Month however due to Val Wheelhouse's (Executive Producer) accident, she had to be taken into hospital and we had to pause every production until everything had settled down. At the end of October Val had been discharged from the hospital and Pre-production began on the following week. Val's accident had left her with pots on each legs and due to the state she was in we had to take her out of this years christmas special. The synopsis was quickly re-scheduled so that Mrs Lyons character will be away from this years special and this will be explained in the story.

Due to Val's accident, this Christmas Special became a challenge because most of the Christmas Special has been worked on by Producer Lewis Wheelhouse who has taken on various roles as part of this years festive episode.

"This Years Christmas Special has been a personal challenge to me because it usually takes around 3 to 4 months to shoot an episode and definitely a lot longer to edit it but we had to do all that in the space of 9 weeks due to the scripts been written literally last minute. I've had to taken on most jobs in this years christmas special, as you'll probably find out in the credits (My names written all over them) and it's a huge achievement for me to take on so many jobs and get this special produced in a record breaking time, It might not be in the world record books however it is a huge achievement for me to get such an episode done in a little amount of time. I've had the most fun on this years christmas special, and I'm sure you'll all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed filming it."
-Lewis Wheelhouse

This years christmas special has been beyond exiting to film, the episode is looking great so far in post production and we cannot wait for you all to see it on Boxing Day. Now from a Christmas Special you would expect it to be a festive, Jolly episode wouldn't you? we'll this year we will be turning the tables and seeing a much more darker side to Christmas than you'd ever imagine.

****MAJOR NEWS****

We are very sad to her that Val Wheelhouse was taken into hospital in the early hours of yesterday evening at approximately 6:30pm. She was taken into hospital via Ambulance and was checked over and after the X-Ray scan we was told after a couple of hours that she had broke a bone on each side of her leg. Val has to stay in hospital and recover for the next few days and then she will be discharged however the Doctors have said that she'll need 6 weeks to recover before walking properly again.

sadly though this has men't that we've had to make the bold decision that Val won't be able to work with us in the upcoming months and this has stopped the filming until the new year for The Detective Series 2. Now one of the most recent short films 'Why Me' is set to begin shooting in a couple of weeks time however due to Val's injury, Val won't be able to direct as such however she has said that she'll try her best to attend the filming and do all she can to help out with the short film but it's a whole different story for The Detective Series 2.

We can't say much as of yet however the filming for her blocks in episodes 5 and 6 of The Detective have had to be put back until the new year so at the moment we don't see a major problem for the upcoming episodes that are to be released later this year however we can't 100% confirm that until we've gone though all the production work to find out how much we've got to do and if Val's injury will pause production completely.

All the team at MI10 Media hope val will be alright soon and we hope she will recover quickly.

Lewis's Wraps on The Detective Series 2 Episode 4

We can now confirm that Lewis Wheelhouse has wrapped for The Detective Series 2 Episode 4. With the episode in near completion on filming Lewis has wrapped his lines as both Detective James & Jack for the episode.

Lewis has said that he has really enjoyed filming the episode as he gets to play both the goodie and the baddie at the same time. This episode has a lot of twists and turns to look forward to with the return of Jack and a jaw dropping cliff hanger that you don't want to miss.

As well as it been a wrap for Lewis we have also completed filming in the Living Room/Kitchen interior of Detective James' house as it will get a revamp later on in the series however we have got an explanation to cover up why it will change.

The reason why Detective James' house will have a revamp is because the house in real life is getting another extension added to it as the wall will be demolished to make both the living room and the Kitchen one big room and we simply couldn't carry on filming in the new set without giving a clear explanation on why it's changed and you'll find out why by the end of Episode 4.

With Episode 4 in near in completion, we are underway with the filming on Episodes 5,6 of The Detective as they'll be the last 2 episodes of the series in which will be coming soon to MI10 Media.

Heres a look at the ones we have used throught the past 5 years on MI10 Media & MI10 Productions;

After four incredible Regeneration's of this logo we are pleased to unveil the 5th Regeneration of the MI10 Media Logo (Symbol)

"Adobe Photoshop"

With having another channel called "MI10 Extra" the channel behind all the exclusives and behind the scenes videos of MI10 Media, We have had to make a 2nd version of this logo but with a different look so you know which channel is which and after discussions we decided it was best that the "MI10 Extra" logo was red instead of blue.

We hope you like the new logo as much as we do and that we'll be using it in the future on both MI10 Media and MI10 Extra.
